Nature, refined
The name URÐ is an ancient Icelandic word for earth or soil. It is the foundation of everything we create: a tribute to the raw, untamed landscape and the pure ingredients it provides.
Founded in 2016 by Erla Gísladóttir, URÐ is the intersection of Art History, Cosmetology, and sensory storytelling. What began as childhood experiments has evolved into a leading Icelandic scent and skincare house. Our mission is simple: to harmonize the wild elements of Iceland with the fine fragrance traditions of Grasse, France.
Our craft
- Artisan Soaps: Handmade in small batches in Iceland using sea salt and natural oils. Each bar is poured into custom molds and hand-packaged after curing to ensure a nourishing, mineral-rich experience.
- Scented Candles & Diffusers: Designed in Iceland and crafted in France using a premium blend of soy and beeswax with 100% cotton wicks. Each scent is named after the Icelandic seasons, offering 40–45 hours of atmospheric escape.
